Day training is for the dog who needs a lot of reps and the owner who doesn’t have the hours to put them in. Your dog spends the day working with me at our facility in Glastonbury, then goes home with you at night. No overnight stay, no group class. One trainer, your dog, and real work.

Why Train at the Facility

A dog that only listens in the living room doesn’t really know the skill yet. A new place with new smells, other dogs, and real distractions is where obedience gets tested, and it’s where it gets solid. It’s also a great fit for dogs who need more confidence around other dogs and new situations. You drop off, I put in the reps, and your dog comes home tired and sharper.

Day training works well for puppies who need structure, busy households, dogs with decent basics that fall apart the second something exciting happens, and dogs who shut down or get overwhelmed in new places.

Day Training Packages

4 sessions $550, 8 sessions $1,000, 12 sessions $1,400.

Want Both?

Day training builds the reps. In-home private lessons teach you to keep it going at home. Put them together and you get the fastest progress you can without an overnight stay. Ask about the $1,350 combo package.

Need it done faster than that? Board and train is the quickest path to real change.

Getting Started

Every new client starts with an in-home consult. I come to you, take a real look at what’s going on with your dog, and we figure out whether day training, private lessons, or a mix of both makes the most sense. $500 in Connecticut, $600 out of state, fully credited toward any training program you book within six months.

A Tip You Can Use Tonight

Skills don’t transfer on their own, so help them along. Pick one thing your dog already does well, like sit, and ask for it somewhere new tonight: the hallway, the backyard, the end of the driveway. Keep it short, reward it big, and quit after a few good reps. Every new spot makes the skill a little more real.

Reactive or Fearful Dog?

Barking, lunging, or fear-based reactivity needs its own plan. Check out Reactive Dog Rehab.
