Terms of Use
Rev. 2026-10c · Applies to My ETC, our client portal, at elitetrainingcenters.net and everything you do through it.
These are the house rules for using our online portal. Plain English on purpose. They cover your account, how requests and payments work, and what we each agree to. The service agreements you sign (Daycare & Boarding Agreement, Training Agreement, and the Reactive Dog Addendum when it applies) cover the care and training itself. If anything here ever conflicts with one of those signed agreements, the signed agreement wins.
1. Who this is between
"Elite," "we," "us," and "our" mean Elite Training Centers, LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company. "You" means the person who created the account and anyone they let use it. By creating an account, ticking the box, or using the portal, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the portal; you can still reach us by phone.
2. Who can have an account
You have to be at least 18 and legally able to agree to contracts, and you have to be the owner of the dog or have the owner's authority to make decisions about care, training, and payment. One account per household is fine; just keep the dogs and contacts on it current.
3. Your account
- Give us accurate, complete information and keep it updated: your contact details, emergency contacts, and everything about your dog (health, medications, behavior history, vet). We make decisions about safety and care based on what you tell us.
- Keep your password private. Anything done through your account, including requests, signatures, and payments, is on you. Tell us right away if you think someone else got in.
- Your typed name plus your account password is your electronic signature. Signing an agreement that way is the same as signing on paper, and you agree to receive and sign documents electronically. You can always view, print, or save a signed copy from your account.
4. How requests work
Nothing on the portal is booked until we confirm it. Every reservation (daycare, boarding, board & train) and appointment (lessons, day training, consults, meet and greets) is a request. We review each one, check space and fit, and reply by email or text. You can see the status of every request on your Reservations tab.
- Meet and greet. Daycare, boarding, and board & train open up for a dog after that dog passes a free meet and greet with our team. In-home private lessons and consults don't need one.
- Vaccines and records. Before a dog's first visit we need current distemper (DHPP), Bordetella, rabies, and the town dog license. You can finish setting up your account without them and add them later, but we can't take a dog in without them.
- We can decline or end a visit. We can turn down any request, and we can end a visit early, if we believe a dog isn't a safe fit for our staff, our other guests, or the dog itself. Our signed agreements explain what happens with fees in that case.
5. Prices and payments
- Prices are shown in the portal before you send a request and are pulled live from our price list, so they can change over time. The price shown when we confirm your request is the one you pay.
- Payments run through Square. We never see or store your card number. If you keep a card on file, it's stored by Square and we charge it when we confirm a booking, as shown on the request. If there's no card on file, we send you a secure Square payment link when we confirm.
- When you're charged. Daycare, boarding, lessons, and day training are paid in full when we confirm. Board & train is 50% when we confirm and 50% at drop-off. Consults are paid in full and held as a credit toward a program for 6 months.
- Packs. Daycare, day training, and lesson packs are charged when you buy them and used up one visit at a time at check-out. Pack sizes and prices are shown when you buy.
- Connecticut sales tax applies where the law requires it and is added at checkout.
- If a charge fails, we'll let you know. Visits can be paused until it's settled.
6. Cancellations and no-shows
Need to cancel a boarding stay? No problem with 24 hours notice. Inside 24 hours, or if you don't show, we charge one night per dog, since we held that spot just for your pup. Holiday stays need 48 hours notice; inside that, 50% of the stay applies. Pick up early and the unused nights stay on your account as credit toward your next visit.
- Daycare and day training: cancel any time, same day is fine.
- Board & train and all training programs and packages: full refund as long as training hasn't started. Once it has, a $250 fee applies to board & train.
- Private lessons: full refund with 7 or more days notice. Inside 7 days we review each one and either credit it toward another lesson or refund it. A lesson cancelled or moved with under 24 hours notice, or missed, counts as used.
- Consults: non-refundable, but the amount stays on your account as a credit toward a program for 6 months.
The portal shows any fee before you confirm a cancellation. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Square; credits stay on your account and come off your next booking automatically.
7. Texts and emails
By giving us your mobile number and creating an account you agree that we may text and email you about your account and bookings: confirmations, changes, day-before reminders, pick-up and drop-off updates, payment links, and record reminders. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency depends on your bookings. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts (we'll still email you about active bookings) and HELP for help. Marketing texts are separate and only go out if you opt in to them.
8. Photos and video
We take photos and video of dogs during visits for report cards, training notes, and to share your dog's progress with you. We may also use them on our website and social media unless you tell us not to. The opt-out box is on the Daycare & Boarding and Training Agreements, and you can change your mind any time by contacting us.
9. Using the portal responsibly
Please don't: upload records that aren't yours or aren't accurate; use the portal for anyone else's dog without their authority; try to get around our security, scrape the site, or access other clients' information; or use the portal to harass our staff. We can suspend or close an account for any of that, or for unpaid balances, with notice to the email on file.
10. What's ours
The portal, our name, logo, training materials, documents, report cards, and the Elite Training Centers manuals are ours (or licensed to us). You can use what we give you for your own dog. Please don't republish, resell, or share our training materials beyond your household.
11. Availability
We work hard to keep the portal up, but it's a web app and sometimes things break or need maintenance. We don't promise it'll always be available or error-free. If the portal is down, call or text us and we'll handle your request the old-fashioned way.
12. Liability for the portal
Liability for the care and training of your dog is covered in the service agreements you sign. For the portal itself: to the extent Connecticut law allows, Elite isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using or not being able to use the portal (for example a missed reminder text because a carrier didn't deliver it), and our total liability for anything related to the portal is limited to the amount you paid us through it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using the portal any time and can ask us to close your account by contacting us. We keep signed agreements, visit and payment records for as long as the law and our insurance require, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
When we update these Terms we change the revision date at the top and ask you to accept the new version the next time you log in. Using the portal after that means you accept the changes.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any dispute about the portal that we can't sort out together will be handled in the state or federal courts in Hartford County, Connecticut. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
16. Contact
